Said...'aluminum storage box'....but....it's the lightweight aluminum frame...the boxes themselves are ABS plastic. Otherwise the boxes are beautiful but not very cousteau. Yes, it is marked 'aluminum' think of other things completely. The corner of the larger one was very damaged...but the cardboard did not have a scratch...that is to say...the box was damaged BEFORE it was packed. A little disappointed.!
