All our drop down loft hatches are designed for easy installation with minimal fuss, providing effective insulation and draft proofing that meets recommended industry standards. These loft access doors offer simple access through a ceiling into your loft space.

Technical specifications

  • Insulation thickness: over 50mm
  • Required opening size: 562mm wide x 726mm long
  • Designed to fit between 38mm thick trussed rafters or ceiling joists spaced at 600mm centres
  • Meets requirements of BS 9250:2007, BS EN 13141-1:2004 & BS 5250:2002
  • Complies with Building Regulations 2000, Conservation of Fuel and Power in New Dwellings part L1A 2006
  • Design air permeability limit: 10m³/(h.m²) at 50pa
  • Ozone Depletion Potential (ODP): zero
  • Global Warming Potential (GWP): less than 5

  • Compatible with any loft ladder
  • Pole attachment located in the insulation on the back of the door (pole not supplied)
  • Recommended: length of dowel wood to make up the pole

  • Draught seals between the frame and ceiling, and the door and frame, ensure compliance with air leakage requirements
