Intex is an American company based in California. It was founded in 1964 in Los Angeles. Intex enjoyed rapid success from the outset, becoming the international leader in low-cost inflatable pools. Today, the company is present in over 100 countries and employs around 14,000 people. Specialising in above-ground pools (self-standing or tubular, sold in fully-equipped kits), it also designs maintenance accessories such as skimmers, safety ladders, filter cartridges, salt sterilisers and cartridge purifiers. But it also specialises in inflatable products for pool play, such as armbands, inflatable mattresses and inflatable straddles (walruses, dolphins and other marine or aquatic animals, etc.).
