Thompson's Emergency Roof Repair Mastic is a high-performance trowel-applied mastic developed using technology from North Sea oil rigs. It is designed to adhere to virtually any roofing material, even underwater, making it an ideal solution for emergency repairs. With added fibers and a high solids content, it effectively fills, plugs, and repairs cracks and splits, targeting leaks at their source. Its hydrophobic formula actively repels and displaces water, instantly forming a watertight seal that provides full weatherproofing protection without the need for curing time.

Installation

If it's raining: Brush away any ponded water from the area of repair.

If it's dry: Remove any dust or dirt with a stiff bristle brush and dampen the surface with white spirit.

Use a trowel or pallet knife to work the mastic into the repair.

For small cracks & holes: Pack the repair with a thick layer of mastic, covering the whole area plus about 10 cm around it.

For larger cracks & voids: Use a scrim bandage to reinforce the repair, apply a thick layer of mastic over the repair, and embed the bandage into the coating. Cover the whole area plus about 25 cm around it.

Usage

Suitable for use on flashings, gutters, roof lights, and valleys.

Ideal for repairing large holes or gaps in flat roofs.

Can be applied in wet weather and dries immediately, delivering a watertight seal.
