- TITALIUM™ is based on a special aluminium alloy, a mixture of materials is created that is extremely durable and lightweight; similar to the process used in aircraft construction. This contemporary product implementation is also reflected in the product design – all the locks in the TITALIUM™ series feature an impressive stainless steel like finish.
- Compared to classic brass padlocks, the locks in the TITALIUM™ series are around 30% lighter but feature the same level of security making them excellent value for money.
- The 80TI series padlocks are the flagship of the TITALIUM™ family, and make an impression with both their looks and technical properties. Within a massive lock body is a 6-pin precision cylinder with paracentric keyway giving protection against both forced or manipulative break-ins. A chrome plated cylinder core and double bolted hardened steel shackle with NANO Protect shackle coating assures security and high corrosion resistance.

Visit the ABUS storeABUS, an acronym for August Bremicker und Söhne KG, is a German company specialising in security equipment (mainly padlocks, anti-theft devices and locks). Since its foundation in 1924 in Volmarstein in the Ruhr by August Bremicker, the company has specialised in padlocks: its first model, the IRON ROCK, was designed in the attic of the family home. Bremicker then used solid brass, which was lighter but just as strong as steel, revolutionising the padlock industry. In 1949, it was the famous DISKUS padlock that became the benchmark for padlocks to this day, such was its revolutionary design. But the most successful padlocks were the Granit padlocks. In 1971, it developed the first anti-theft bicycle locks. ABUS has remained a family business, with the fourth generation at the helm. It has diversified into bicycle locks, container locks, marine engine locks, HOMETEC electronic door locks, etc.
