This two-pack of belts is designed to fit selected Vax models. The vacuum belt is a key component of an upright vacuum cleaner, primarily functioning to turn the agitator brush bar, which helps to beat dirt and dust out of carpets. Made of rubber, these belts stretch between the motor pulley and the brush bar/agitator.

  • Replace the vacuum belt as soon as it becomes damaged.

  • Keep a spare vacuum belt on hand for convenience.
  • Check for signs of a damaged belt by laying the vacuum cleaner on its side and observing if the brush bar spins.
  • If the brush bar does not move, the belt needs to be replaced.
  • Look for visible signs of wear on the belt, such as burn marks or mis-shaping.

  • Common signs of a faulty belt include: vacuum not picking up, burnt rubber smell, difficulty pushing the vacuum, and a stopped brush roll/agitator.
