For harder surfaces, the weight of the aerator can be increased by adding additional weights (not included).

The gear feels like good quality, of weight is anything to go by. However, the instructions are not very clear and font size very small. there were 4 20mm washers missing (thankfully my diy shop had some) and I had to cut down one of the metal spacers with a hacksaw to accommodate a washer and allow free turning of spikes. The tow bar section was (and remains) bent out of shape, but I managed to square it up with a metal bar through it such that at least the tow hitch pin is perpendicular to my rise on mower. It works, but not without sweating, head scratching and improvisation.
