Installation
Before laying down the pond liner, ensure that the surface is dry and free from ice, snow, stones, and other hard or sharp objects to prevent cuts and damage. It is recommended to use a suitable pond fleece underneath the pond liner to distribute load and reduce mechanical stress on the liner.
To calculate the required size of the pond liner, use the following formula:
- Pond liner length: finished pond length + twice the depth + twice the edge overlap (minimum recommended overlap: 0.10 m)
- Pond liner width: finished pond width + twice the depth + twice the edge overlap
It is advisable to purchase extra meters to account for errors and to ensure enough liner to tuck around the edges above the maximum water level.
