Simple yet functional design. Ready to use. just unfold it and you're done. You just have to fix it to the wall for optimal security (not done yet). The weight does not allow the gate to tip over the child. Just that it slides on the tiles so shaking (hence the need to fix it to the wall). We are very satisfied with it
