Wooden Garden Storage Box-4ft

It was advertised as water proof however the connecting gap between the lid and the core frame is wide enough to let water through defeating the object of having shoes and wellies in there to keep dry. As a result i put some gorilla tape over the gap in an attempt to stop the rain getting though however this did not work as i found out on a saturday morning when i put on my football boots and they were soaked through. i then noticed all the wellington boots in the box were also wet. Ironically the storage box has done more damage to my shoes since i got it than leaving them in the doorway where at least it was dry. Furthermore the inside of the lid looks like it has got mould on it (see pics) to the point where it looks like an infestation, i specifically asked prior to the purchase if the wood was treated and i was told it was and for many years before it would need retreating. The advertised height is actually the external height, would have been good to get an internal height from the base to the lid because with the advertised height our wellington boots fitted however in reality the cannot so they have to lie down in the box, and away from the gap in the lid so the water doesn't get through
