How It Works

1. Pre-Scan Calibration Tool

After selecting a mode, press and hold the Scan button (located on the right side of the tool) to calibrate the tool. Wait until the reduction lever disappears and a beep sounds to confirm that calibration is complete. If you accidentally shake or lift the scanner, you must recalibrate the device by placing it in air in Metal/AC mode.

2.Scan the wall

Once the stud finder locates the material, the LCD screen will indicate the direction, and the intensity of the beep will let you know if you are closer to your target.

3. Locate the stud

When the signal bar is full and the alarm sounds loudest, it means the center of the object has been found.
