General description Advanced sensor technology is utilized in this 5 in 1 Cable Locator to accurately and quickly locate metal pipes, fire lines, studs, wood framing, rebar, and support beams hidden behind walls, floors, and ceilings. It features five different scanning modes for versatile detection. Technical specifications Spiral mode detects wood beams up to 1.5 inches (38 mm) in drywall. Metal mode detects pipes up to 3 inches (7.62 cm). Depth mode detects wood and metal parts up to 2.4 inches (60 mm). Live wire detection for 85 to 240 VAC up to 2 inches (51 mm). Installation For convenient use, press and hold the scan button for 1 to 2 seconds before testing. The ergonomic design allows for mounting at any angle. Usage The LCD screen displays the required hardware for the pins and the exact location of the pins. An audible signal alerts you when you are close to your target. The detector responds to density changes behind drywall, detecting both metal and wood studs in stud scan and deep scan modes. Use metal scan mode to differentiate between wood studs, metal studs, or pipes. The graphical LCD display shows signal strength, automatic calibration, battery indication, and maximum readability. A low battery indicator alerts you when it's time to replace the battery.
