The Fiskars Norden N12 Splitting Axe is designed for easy splitting of small-sized logs up to Ø20cm. It features a high-quality hickory wood handle with virtually unbreakable Fibercomp™ overstrike protection, ensuring durability and safety. The axe boasts a carbon steel blade with a precision ground, ultra-sharp cutting edge that maintains its sharpness over time. An anti-friction coating helps prevent the blade from getting stuck while also protecting it against rust and dirt. A protective blade cover is included for safe storage.

Almost a shame to work with such a beautiful tool! Haven't tried it yet but feels sturdy, well balanced and seems sharp. Small finishing flat with a "burr" under the ax head. It's nothing prohibitive but it strikes so the whole is nickel.
