Tips for testing the device:

1. Observe temperature changes: Place the thermometer for a period of time in an environment with a large temperature difference from the ambient temperature. You will notice clear changes in the pointer. For example, place it in the refrigerator. Because the mechanical movement changes slowly, it will take longer for the change to become visible.

2. Observe humidity changes: Breathe deeply through the opening at the bottom of the thermometer. You will see the humidity indicator rise and then fall again after a while.

3. Observe air pressure changes: Because air pressure varies depending on location, the pointer position also changes. In some areas, due to very low air pressure, the pointer may show a value below the measuring range, while in other areas it may show a value above. Air pressure changes more slowly. Generally, the change is clearly noticeable when the weather changes from sunny to rainy or vice versa. If you do not observe any movement of the barometric pressure pointer, please turn the comparator to the same position as the barometric pressure pointer and wait a few days. The black pointer on the large dial indicates the barometric pressure, the silver one the contrast. The contrast pointer can be set to the same value. You can then compare the readings over a specific period and observe whether the barometric pressure has risen or fallen.
