    The dormouse nesting box is best positioned about 1.5 m above the ground, attached to a small tree trunk or other suitable support. The entrance hole should face towards the tree to reduce the chances of birds using the box. A screw is conveniently situated on the front of the nest box to assist fastening with wire around the tree.
