Designed to be filled with rocks or gravel, this sturdy gabion is made of rustproof and weather-resistant galvanised steel, ensuring stability and durability. The mesh grid is constructed by welding transverse and longitudinal wires at every intersection for extra stability. The gabion basket comes with top and bottom covers to maintain the fixed shape of the fillings. You can also purchase additional models to build walls by placing them side by side. Installation
Ensure that your gabion is positioned securely. Read the instructions carefully and retain the manual for future reference. A filled gabion is very heavy, and tipping over can result in dangerous situations and serious injuries. The following knowledge is required for the construction of gabions:
- Safe handling of tools, machines, ladders, and scaffolding
- Knowledge of occupational safety and operational safety
- Experience in the transport and handling of heavy, bulky components
- Knowledge of local building regulations
If you have any uncertainties or lack the necessary qualifications, consult a specialist, certified engineer, or a competent installation company. Gabions must be set up on a sufficiently stable surface and in accordance with the installation instructions. Protective gloves must be worn, and safety glasses, gloves, safety shoes, and a helmet (head protection) are recommended during installation. Avoid installation during extreme weather conditions such as strong winds or low temperatures. Be cautious as the edges of some accessories may be sharp; assemble carefully to avoid injury. Do not allow children and pets in the assembly area.
