It is made of a very sturdy pvc but pliable so when I made little mistakes while applying it, I just fixed it easily by moving it about. I didn't use the cord that came with it because I found it slippery but if you know how to do proper boy scouts knots, you will be fine as the cord is long and of a lovely white colour It took me ages to find what I wanted for my yard and I am really happy I found and bought this item! I put it up by myself (woman, good enough at DYI but not overly excellent at it)
