Description
Description
- Superior Danish Oil is a blend of high-quality pure tung oil and natural oils that nourish, protect, and enhance the natural beauty of both hard and soft woods. It penetrates deeply into the wood grain, providing a satin to gloss finish. With added UV filters, it helps prevent discolouration caused by sunlight. The oil is water, heat, and alcohol resistant, making it suitable for interior and exterior applications. It is also safe for use on toys.
Specifications
- Coverage: approximately 10-12 m² per litre
- Drying time: minimum 5 hours between coats
- Application: brush or cloth
Compatibility and Accessories
- Suitable for all types of interior and exterior wood surfaces
- Can be applied with a brush or lint-free cloth
Installation
- Ensure the surface is clean, dry, and free from previous finishes such as wax or varnish. Remove any greying or mould from exterior surfaces.
- For interior woodwork, remove existing finishes with appropriate removers, then clean and dry the surface. If desired, stain the wood before applying the oil.
- Apply the oil evenly with a brush or cloth, allowing it to penetrate for 5-10 minutes. Wipe off excess with a clean cloth.
- Allow at least 5 hours to dry before applying additional coats. For best results, apply a minimum of three coats, lightly rubbing with ultra-fine steel wool (0000) between coats.
- For exterior woodwork, ensure the surface is free from decay, greying, or mould. Apply multiple coats for maximum protection, especially on exposed areas.
Usage
- Interior woodwork: apply with a brush or lint-free cloth, allow to penetrate, then wipe off excess. Repeat for multiple coats, with drying time in between.
- Exterior woodwork: apply as above, with additional coats as needed for protection. Ensure sufficient initial coats for maximum durability.
Other Information
- Always test the product on a small, inconspicuous area to check colour, compatibility, and final appearance before full application.

In the 15th century, the royal abbey of Saint-Antoine des Champs obtained a privilege exempting craftsmen from paying taxes when they set up shop on its land. The Seine also provided cabinetmakers in particular with access to their raw materials. Georges Libéron made a name for himself at the Universal Exhibition in Paris in 1900 with his antiseptic and parasiticide polish. One of its variations was the famous Oké paste.
In 1990, V33 acquired the Libéron group, which specialised in cabinetmaking products and was the French leader in its field, having invented the legendary Black Bison wax, a decorative product for all surfaces.
V33 and Libéron are very committed to protecting the environment: 50% of production is solvent-free, glycol ethers have been eliminated, and great care is taken to reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
