General description

Natural Stone Sealer with a 'DRY' Invisible Finish is an effective impregnating sealer designed for sandstone, limestone, granite, and slate. This high-quality, clear, solvent-free acrylic coating system alters the chemical structure of porous stones, providing an excellent water-repellent and stain-resistant surface. It is resistant to algae, lichen, and staining, making it suitable for both internal and external applications.

Coverage: 1st coat 4 - 8 m² per litre (4m² for Sandstone, 8m² for Slate & Granite); 2nd coat 8 - 16 m² per litre

Preparation

Pre-treat the surface with an appropriate cleaning product.

If necessary, clean the surface using a pressure washer and allow it to dry thoroughly for at least 3 days.

The area must be clean, dry, and free from contamination before applying the sealer.

Always test the product on-site in an inconspicuous area to ensure satisfaction with the final appearance.

If a sweep-in pointing compound has been used within the last 6 months, clean the natural stone with Smartseal Residue Remover before application.

Application

Apply on vertical surfaces to full saturation, starting from the bottom and working upwards.

Do not apply in damp conditions; ensure surfaces are dry and temperatures are between 13°C and 23°C.

No rain should be forecast for at least 8 hours after application.

For most porous stones, a second lighter coat can be applied once the first coat is touch dry.

If over-application occurs, remove excess sealer with a dry roller or sponge within 45 minutes.

Usage

Shake the container well before use.

Ensure the surface area is completely clean from dirt and grime.

Allow the surface area to dry for 3 days, depending on the weather.

Apply the first coat to saturation using a roller, sprayer, or brush.

Apply a second lighter 'mist' coat approximately 45 minutes after the first coat if suitable.

Avoid walking on the surface for 4 hours after application and for 48 hours for heavy traffic.

Clean all equipment with water immediately after use.

Other information

Store away from direct sunlight and sources of heat.
