Description

General description

The Sandstone/Natural Stone Sealer is a high-quality, clear, solvent-free acrylic impregnating coating designed to enhance the color of natural stone surfaces. This protective impregnating sealer alters the chemical structure of porous sandstone or natural stone, providing an excellent water-repellent and stain-resistant finish. Once applied, it gives a damp or slightly wet look, enhancing the original coloring of the surface.

Coverage: 5 - 10 m² per litre for the first coat; 10 - 20 m² per litre for the second coat, depending on surface porosity

Touch dry: 2 - 3 hours

Compatibility and accessories

Suitable for: Sandstone (with exceptions), Limestone, Terracotta, Slate, Marble, and Granite

Not suitable for: Kandla Grey (mid and light grey) sandstone

Installation

Ensure surfaces are clean, dry, and free from contamination before application

If algae or stains are present, pre-treat with an appropriate cleaning product

If a sweep-in pointing compound has been used within the last 6 months, clean the surface with Smartseal Residue Remover before applying the sealer

Use a suitable pressure sprayer or roller, avoiding pooling

Apply to full saturation, starting from the bottom on vertical surfaces

Remove excess after approximately 30 - 40 minutes

For best results, apply a second coat while the first is still wet (before it has fully dried)

Clean all equipment with water immediately after use

Usage

Can be used externally or internally

Application by roller or sprayer recommended

Do not apply in damp conditions

Shelf life: 12 months in the original sealed container

Store away from direct sunlight and sources of heat; protect from frost
