Description

General description

Owatrol Oil is a versatile, highly penetrating air-drying oil that can be used alone or added to paint. As a rust inhibitor, it provides a tough, flexible finish, driving out excess moisture and air from rusted metal, effectively stopping rust in its tracks. When used on porous wood surfaces, it saturates and protects the wood from moisture damage and prevents paint from peeling. Additionally, when added as a paint conditioner to any oil or alkyd-based coatings, it enhances wet edge time, improves flow, and increases adhesion.

Compatible with oil and alkyd-based paints

Not compatible with water-based paints (use Floetrol instead)

Do not mix with paints containing hot solvents (e.g., Xylene, chlorinated rubber)

Cover areas not intended for painting

Apply in temperatures between +5°C and +35°C

Avoid direct sunlight and hot surfaces during application

Test for compatibility when adding to paint

Used alone as a rust inhibitor

As a paint and wood stain additive for oil-based paints

Improves flow and eliminates brush marks

Enhances paint adhesion and prevents cracking and peeling

Increases uniformity and coverage of the coat by up to 25%

Application tools: Brush, Roller, Airless or HVLP sprayer, Garden sprayer, pump sprayer

Clean tools and equipment with white spirits while still wet; if dried, remove with paint stripper

Store and maintain equipment as directed by the manufacturer
