General description

  • Box Dimensions: Overall height: 78 cm, Overall width: 34 cm, Overall depth: 13 cm
  • Box Weight: 16 kg
  • Pole Options: 4 m, 5 m, or 6 m; 76 mm diameter
  • Pole Weight: 7 kg (for 4 m pole)

  • Entrance: 17 mm wide slot
  • Internal Features: 3 internal crevices approximately 20 mm wide with 3 ceramic inserts
  • Access: Removable roof secured with 2 screws

  • Installation

To securely install your Pole Mounted Bat Box, approximately 1 m of the pole should be buried below ground. It is recommended to consult a builder or structural engineer as ground conditions can vary. The pole will be dispatched separately from the bat box and bracket. The only tools required for installation are a spanner or a screwdriver (for the metal band version).

    Usage

The Pole Mounted Bat Box allows bats to choose between boxes that differ in solar gain and thermal regimes, enabling them to select the optimal conditions throughout the year. This setup can also be used to position the bat box on a hedgerow.
