I bought this product so that my two puppies could not go into the living room from the kitchen. The finish is very good, the weight is adequate and it holds well as it works as a screen and has two supports at the bottom. I suppose that for babies it will be perfect but for medium dogs (at least for mine, 4 months and a jagd terrier and dachshund cross,) it is not entirely suitable because they skip it by perching. I would almost give it 5 stars but it takes a little longer than expected to arrive.
