Usage
To achieve the best results with Ronseal 10 Year Woodstain, follow these steps:
- Clean the surface with white spirit and a cloth to remove dust.
- For new wood, lightly sand the surface to even out imperfections and wipe down with white spirit, allowing it to dry.
- Stir the tin well to mix the colour pigment thoroughly.
- Test the woodstain on a small patch to ensure satisfaction with the colour.
- Apply the woodstain in the direction of the grain using a brush.
- Wait four hours for the first coat to dry before applying the second coat.
- Lightly sand the wood before applying the third coat for a smoother finish.
- Allow 12 hours for the third coat to dry completely, but it will be rainproof in just one hour.
- For stained or varnished wood, sand the surface with 120 grit sandpaper to remove old finishes.
