General description

Ronseal Diamond Hard Floor Varnish in White Ash offers a stunning finish while providing robust protection for your wooden floors against everyday wear and tear. This tough, low-odour varnish dries quickly, allowing you to enjoy your beautifully finished floors without the lingering smell of varnish.

Installation

Ensure the room temperature is above 10 degrees Celsius.

Remove furniture and open doors and windows for ventilation.

For unvarnished floors, sand with 120 grit sandpaper; a floor sander can make this easier.

Vacuum and wipe the floor with white spirit after sanding.

For varnished floors, lightly sand with 120 grit sandpaper and remove any flaking varnish.

Apply the varnish using a 4” brush, starting from the corner furthest from the door.

Wait two hours between coats; three coats are recommended for optimal protection.

Lightly sand with 240 grit sandpaper before the third coat.

Allow the floor to dry for 24 hours before replacing furniture.

Your floor will be ready for light foot traffic in two hours and fully cured in 72 hours.

Usage

After 72 hours, the floor can be vacuumed and swept without damage.

To maintain the finish, clean up dirt and grit promptly and use a damp microfiber cloth for surface stains.

Brushes can be cleaned easily with warm soapy water.

If scratches or damage occur, apply three coats over the affected area or use the Scratch Repair Kit for touch-ups.
