Ronseal Diamond Hard Floor Varnish in Light Oak offers a stunning finish that enhances the natural beauty of your wooden floors while providing exceptional protection against everyday wear and tear. This tough varnish is non-yellowing, ensuring that the color remains vibrant over time. With a low odour formula, it allows for a more pleasant application experience, minimizing lingering smells in your home.

Installation

Ensure the room temperature is above 10 degrees Celsius.

Remove furniture and open doors and windows for ventilation.

For unvarnished floors, sand along the length of the floorboards using 120 grit sandpaper, or use a floor sander for quicker results.

Vacuum the dust and wipe the floor with white spirit before applying varnish.

For previously varnished floors, lightly sand with 120 grit sandpaper and follow the same cleaning steps.

Apply the varnish using a 4” brush, starting in the corner furthest from the door.

Wait two hours between coats, lightly sanding with 240 grit sandpaper before the third coat.

Your floor will be ready to walk on in two hours, but wait 24 hours before replacing furniture.

After 72 hours, the floor will achieve its maximum hardness.

Usage

After 72 hours, the floor can be vacuumed and swept without damage.

To maintain the finish, clean up dirt or grit promptly and use a damp microfiber cloth for surface stains.

Brushes can be cleaned easily with warm soapy water.

If scratches occur, apply three coats over the damaged area or use the Scratch Repair Kit for touch-ups.
