Description

• Ronseal Interior Varnish is a quick-drying, diamond-hard protective finish designed for interior wood surfaces. It provides a durable, water, scratch, and heat resistant coating that enhances the natural beauty of the wood while offering long-lasting protection. The varnish dries to a clear, glossy finish and is suitable for use on bare or previously varnished wood, but not on painted surfaces. It is available in various finishes including gloss, satin, and matte.

Compatibility and Accessories

Installation

• Ensure the room is warm and well-ventilated before application
• Prepare the wood by cleaning with a cloth and white spirit to remove grease and dirt
• Sand the surface with 120 grit sandpaper to smooth out rough patches and remove old flaking coatings
• Wipe away dust with a damp cloth and allow the wood to dry thoroughly
• Stir the varnish well before use
• Test on a hidden area to check the color and finish
• Apply an even coat in the direction of the woodgrain using a brush or roller
• Allow 1 hour to dry between coats; apply 2-3 coats for optimal protection
• Sand lightly and clean dust before applying subsequent coats for a smooth finish

Usage

• Apply in a well-ventilated area, wearing a mask when sanding
• Ensure the surface is clean, dry, and free of dust before application
• Apply multiple coats for best results, sanding lightly between coats
• Clean brushes and tools with white spirit after use
• Once dry, the varnished surface can be cleaned normally and maintained with regular care
