General description

Smartseal roof sealer creates a water-repellent barrier and protects against the re-growth of moss and algae. This high-quality, clear, solvent-free acrylic impregnating roof sealer is suitable for concrete, clay, or slate tile roofs. Once applied, it alters the chemical structure of the roof tiles, providing an excellent water-repellent surface while greatly restricting the growth of algae, lichen, and moss.

Preparation

Ensure tiles or slates are completely clean, dry, and free from moss or algae spores.

If not applied to a new roof, pressure washing and application of a suitable biocide is essential.

Application

Apply roof sealer by handheld sprayer or brush to saturation.

After 20-30 minutes, apply a light second 'wet on wet' coat.

Do not apply if rain is expected or temperatures are below 12°C.

Test on a small area first and mix the container before use.

Other information

Clean equipment with water immediately after use.

Shelf life: Use as soon as possible after opening; can be stored for 12 months in the original sealed container.

Store away from sunlight and sources of heat; avoid frost and low temperatures.
