Thompsons 10 Year Roof Seal is a high-performance coating that cures to form a durable, flexible membrane. It is suitable for resealing and protecting entire roofs or repairing large areas of damage across various roofing materials. The advanced formula is designed to flex with the natural movement of the roof, preventing cracking and splitting over time. This product outperforms traditional bitumen paint and is rainproof in just 6 hours, ensuring long-lasting protection.

Preparation

Scrub the surface with a stiff bristle brush to remove dust and dirt.

Repair any structural faults as needed.

Cut open any old felt blisters and ensure any ponding water is dry before securing the felt with tacks.

Fill any cracks and level any depressions in the roofing felt.

Application

For best results, apply on a dry day above 10°C.

Stir the tin thoroughly before and during use.

Apply using a brush, roller, or soft broom in long, smooth strokes over the repair area.

Wait 6 hours before applying a second coat.

Clean Up

Clean your equipment with warm water and detergent.

Bought to seal parts of an old car in areas that won't be, seen. Goes on well dries to a nice satin finish. Three coats end up around 1mm thick, salt and stones just bounce off.
