Description

The Safetots Elite gate is the latest in our range of award-winning safety gates. First on our list of requirements was a way to eliminate the fear of the gate being accidentally left open. Our designers came back with two options: an auto-close functionality so the gate closes itself after use and a visual alert which highlights the lock has been activated. We further requested the option to leave the gate open at ninety degrees as not all carers or grandparents require a gate in constant use; as well as the ability to restrict which way the gate can be opened if required. We asked for the fewest and most simple steps to secure installation with the easiest to follow guide. Our favourite comment during testing was; If I can install that gate in less than ten minutes, then anybody can. We stressed the importance of an easy opening mechanism for adults and older siblings yet impossible for a toddler to activate. We demanded a robust, solid feel to the gate, yet for it to function smoothly, with less clank more click. Additionally, the strength and durability of the gate must remain even when the gate is extended by any distance up to nearly three metres. By ensuring the gate complies to the EN1930:2011 safety standards we can guarantee we have maintained the rigidity even when the gate is being used as a full room divider.
