• The Union 2234E 5 Lever British Standard Mortice Sashlock is designed for timber doors hinged on either side. It is suitable for doors up to 54mm thick. The lock features a 20mm deadbolt that can be locked or unlocked from either side using the key, providing secure deadlocking and enhanced resistance against forced entry. It is recommended by insurance companies, kitemarked to BS3621:2007, and approved by the police Secured by Design initiative. The lock is supplied with three nickel-plated steel keys and includes a rebate kit for different door thicknesses. The lock's security level ranges from 2 to 5 levers, with more levers indicating higher security. The case size is 67mm x 111mm with a backset of 45mm and a centre distance of 57mm, which is standard in the UK. The forend finish is satin chrome, matching the security strike plate.
