This two-pack of Vax U90-P6-P vacuum belts is designed to fit selected Vax models. The vacuum belt is a crucial component of an upright vacuum cleaner, responsible for turning the agitator brush bar to effectively remove dirt and dust from carpets. Made of rubber, these belts stretch between the motor pulley and the brush bar/agitator.

Usage

Vacuum belts should be replaced as soon as they become damaged. It is recommended to replace the belt every 4 to 6 months to maintain effective performance, as they can easily stretch. Signs of a faulty belt include:

The vacuum is on but does not pick up

Burnt rubber smell

Vacuum cleaner is harder to push

Brush roll/agitator has stopped spinning

To check for a damaged belt, turn on the vacuum cleaner and lay it on its side to see if the brush bar is spinning. If it does not move, the belt needs to be replaced. Look for any visible signs of wear, such as burn marks, on the removed belt.
