Solid once put together. The velvet type material is very soft but thin. There is not that much padding on the headboard so it feels a bit lower quality than I was expecting, but overall it looks fine and the colour is great. the legs and wooden dark wood matching footboard attachment area is nice and has a nice looking finish which is a good touch. I would recommend as a nice bed given its relatively cheap price, but if you want something more padded and luxurious then you will have to expect to pay more.
