Note that some splits and cracks may appear in the wood due to natural weather changes, but these are normal. The pressure treatment process protects against rot for up to 15 years, although the wood will weather and season naturally over time, turning an attractive silvery grey. To maintain its appearance, we recommend applying a furniture oil or linseed oil-based product annually. The timber can also be painted or stained using most softwood paints.
