Installation
Before laying down the pond liner, ensure the surface is dry and free from ice, snow, stones, and other hard or sharp objects to avoid cuts and damage. It is recommended to use a suitable pond fleece under the pond liner for load distribution and to reduce mechanical stress on the liner.
To calculate the size of the pond liner needed, use the following formula:
- Pond liner length: finished pond length + twice depth + twice edge overlap (minimum recommended overlap 0.10 m)
- Pond liner width: finished pond width + twice depth + twice edge overlap (minimum recommended overlap 0.10 m)
It is advisable to purchase extra meters to compensate for errors and to have enough liner to tuck in around the edges above the maximum water level.
