It meets expectations. It requires a mounting base, and not all of them will work since it's screwed onto the crossbar.

The parasol works well, though it is huge and somewhat stiff and unwieldly in the putting up and taking down. Especially when you crank it to open you have to turn against quite a resistance so that my partner is in constant fear of breaking it. The central piece of the parasol keeps coming off and out - not a bit deal, just annoying. We attached the parasol directly to the patio, and this is infinitely preferable to using the cross and weights.

Really happy with the item, really good coverage size, easy to use and feels good quality. Will have to see how it weathers over the summer.
