Wire Rope Bulldog Grips are designed for secure and reliable use with wire ropes, particularly in marine environments. Made from 316 Grade Stainless Steel, these grips offer excellent rust protection, making them ideal for boats, yacht rigging, and public areas. They are primarily used for creating loops in wire rope.

  • Installation

  • Prior to fitting, grease the threads on the nuts and bolts.
  • Ensure spacing between grips is at least 6 times the diameter of the rope.
  • Orient the grip correctly, placing the 'U' bolt on the unloaded end of the rope.
  • Tighten each nut evenly and in turn to achieve the recommended torque settings.
  • Leave unused for 24 hours and check torque setting again, re-tightening if necessary.
  • After the first application of load, re-check torque setting and re-tighten if necessary.
  • Periodically check the torque setting during service.
