Our x2 40MM DIN1142 Wire Rope Grips are designed for secure cable clamp fixing, ideal for lifting applications. These grips are suitable for 40MM wire rope and are zinc plated for excellent corrosion resistance. Each pack contains two grips, making them perfect for various uses including boat rigging and public area installations.

  • Installation

  • Ensure threads on nuts and bolts are well greased before fitting.
  • Maintain a spacing of at least 6 times the diameter of the rope between grips.
  • Orient the grip correctly, with the 'U' bolt on the unloaded end of the rope.
  • Tighten each nut evenly and in turn to achieve recommended torque settings.
  • Leave unused for 24 hours and re-check torque settings, re-tightening if necessary.
  • After the first application of load, re-check torque settings and re-tighten if necessary.
  • Periodically check torque settings during service.
