General description

Our Wire Rope Grips are designed for use with 34MM wire rope, making them ideal for applications such as boat rigging, public areas, and various lifting purposes. The grips are zinc plated, providing excellent corrosion resistance and durability.

    • Installation

  • Ensure installation is performed by a qualified person.
  • Prior to fitting, grease the threads on the nuts and bolts.
  • Maintain a spacing between grips of at least 6 times the diameter of the rope.
  • Orient the grip correctly, placing the 'U' bolt on the unloaded end of the rope.
  • Tighten each nut evenly and in turn to achieve the recommended torque settings.
  • Leave unused for 24 hours and check torque settings again, re-tightening if necessary.
  • After the first application of the load, re-check torque settings and re-tighten if necessary.
  • Periodically check the torque settings during service.

    • Usage

    The main use of wire rope grips is to create loops in wire rope, which are essential for lifting applications.
