General description

Smartseal Block Paving Sealer in Silk finish is a solvent-based acrylic sealer designed to enhance the color and aesthetic appeal of both new and mature block paving. It provides a slight sheen while offering long-lasting protection against oil, stains, weeds, and algae growth. This high viscosity sealer is suitable for most patio slabs and block paving, ensuring durability and resistance to blistering and peeling.

Application temperature: 12 - 23°C

Tack-free time: 2 hours at 20°C

Foot traffic allowed: 4 hours at 20°C

Vehicle traffic restriction: Minimum 24 hours at 20°C

Flash point: 40°C (Abel-Closed Cup)

Installation

Ensure paving is pressure washed to remove all surface debris.

Allow paving to dry for 3-4 clear and dry days.

Brush kiln-dried sand into all joints before sealing.

Apply 2 coats of Block Paving Sealer using a roller or sprayer, allowing 2-3 hours between coats.

Allow 24 hours for the sealer to completely cure.

Usage

Protect the sealed area from rain during the curing cycle.

Do not apply when ground temperature is above 23°C or below 12°C.

Clean all equipment with Smartseal cleaner fluid after use.

Avoid applying deicing salts directly on sealed surfaces.

Other information

Not suitable for clay pavers.
