DETEX® sun sails - Robust and durable
The DETEX awnings made from Oxford fabric with their UV50-protection offer natural sun protection as well as protection from harmful UV-rays.
OXFORD- fabric is highly wind and waterproof + UV 50 protected.Oxford-fabric (100% Polyester) 210 gr/m².
HDPE-fabric (High-Density Polyethylene) 275 gr/m².
The sun sails (OXFORD) are impregnated and have a water and windproof coating. This coating should always point upwards for optimum protection.
When attaching the sail, create a slope of at least 20% to support the waterproof function of the fabric. This ensures optimum water drainage and prevents water pockets.
The sails have a concave cut (arched, inward looking) to transfer the tension to the outer edges of the sail. This prevents wrinkle formation and dents. The corners of our sun shades are reinforced with sevenfold crosswise stitching. This ensures very high stability and durability. Do NOT attach the edges (D-rings) directly to its anchor-points. Always attach ropes to the D-rings and attach the ropes to the anchorpoints in wall, post etc.

I used it on a roof of "veranda", it is a good sun visor for the heat, it darkened a little but the expected result is there.It is no longer a "sauna" .The canvas is of good quality and the ropes provided precious.
This shade sail is excellent value for money. I ordered the same product last year which I was already very satisfied with. This year I wanted to add a second sail and I see that the color of the old one has remained the same despite the rain and the sun.

No DIY here, it's a simple piece of good-quality and relatively thick fabrics delivered with ropes for more tension flexibility.
The product is what I expected but a rectangular sail would be better especially because of the loss of surface due to the curvature of the sides. The fixing rings are much too fragile but it is then sufficient to recover on the straps.
Ring under dimensioned. No transverse reinforcement. Bought to replace an old one that's been 10 years old and just stained I do not think this one will do the same time
