General description

The Eco Rocket Bat Box is an innovative solution designed for bats, featuring a weatherproof outer shell made from 100% recycled LDPE plastic and a wooden internal roost chamber. It is ideal for use in mitigation projects where suitable buildings or trees for mounting are unavailable. The bat box includes a large self-contained roosting area that allows bats to move freely within the box, selecting their preferred micro-habitat.

  • Installation

    To securely install the Eco Rocket Bat Box, approximately 1m of the pole should be buried below ground. It is recommended to consult a builder or structural engineer before installation, as ground conditions may vary. The pole is dispatched separately from the bat box for ease of installation and shipping. The only tool required for installation is a spanner to fix the box onto the pole.

    Usage

    The Eco Rocket Bat Box is perfect for ensuring maximum solar gain by placing it in an unshaded area or positioning it along a bat corridor, such as a hedgerow. It is often used on building sites to provide an alternative roost for bats during demolition activities.
