This electric plane is a joy to use. It is super handy and well built. The brushless motor is extremely efficient. The sole is super smooth and has grooves for making chamfers. Whether for planing a door or preparing boards, it has become my favorite tool. It is very well supplied with accessories unlike others. The brand is starting to make real quality tools. I recommend this plane.

This electric plane is very well designed, it is not too heavy and comes with a guide, instructions for use as well as small tools for adjusting and fixing it. Not supplied with a battery. I use my Einhell batteries that I already have on other tools from them. The cut with the plane is clean and precise, the result is very satisfactory, The battery life is very good, I can tinker all day and it holds very well, The noise is correct, be careful not to put your hand underneath because it cuts easily! This device is very easy to handle, not too heavy and with the battery it is very well balanced, and not too heavy either, if I find a small criticism it is that there is no bag to collect the shavings, but it does not matter I clean the floor afterwards! Hello, This review is about the 18V Einhell TP - PL 18/3 Li BL - Solo cordless planer. This planer is part of the Power-X-change tool range and is supplied without a battery. It is recommended to use a battery with a power greater than 2.5 Ah. I recommend the 4.0 Ah battery for good power and good autonomy, and its weight balances the planer well. Einhell is a brand that offers a wide range of tools, from entry-level to high-end. This is a mid-range cordless product. This planer is a beautiful tool, robust and quite heavy with an excellent grip, thanks to good ergonomics (good positioning of the handles) and well-chosen materials (two-material handle). The cutting width of 82mm is appreciable and the cutting depth of 0 to 3mm is precisely adjusted with the wheel at the front of the plane which also acts as a handle. This wheel has notches every 0.1mm for adjusting the cutting depth, however, care must be taken not to move the setting by holding it firmly during work, this wheel having two functions, that of wheel and handle, there is a small risk of misadjusting the cutting depth: this is a work habit to take. The cut is clean and neat, and the 18V battery and the brushless motor provide quite reasonable power for a cordless tool, but care must be taken to set a pass depth compatible with the type of wood and the power available. Personally, I prefer to make several fine cuts, rather than a single deep cut, both to ensure that I have good cutting power and because it is always possible to rework the piece to continue removing thickness, the reverse is not the case. The plane has a removable width adjustment stop of good quality to allow you to make counterbores by leaning on the edge of a board. The plane table is marked with three grooves to make chamfers at different depths of 45', and this is a very practical and appreciable function. There is a small retractable stop at the back of the table, which allows you to place the plane on the ground or on a work surface while protecting the blades from touching an obstacle. I would have really appreciated it if this tool had been delivered in a bag or transport case because the blades are visible, or at least a blade guard. There are cases and bags from Einhell and other suppliers, but their dimensions are not perfectly adapted to the tool (the Einhell bags are much larger than the tool and the cases, all too small). and this is the only reason that leads me to weight my rating a little here. In summary, we are dealing here with a very nice tool in the Einhell power-X-change range. For amateurs, experienced DIY enthusiasts or why not even a professional, this tool will do the job required.
