Description

General description

The Sandstone/Natural Stone Sealer is a high-quality, clear, solvent-free acrylic impregnating coating designed to enhance the color of natural stone surfaces. This protective impregnating sealer alters the chemical structure of porous sandstone or natural stone, providing an excellent water-repellent and stain-resistant finish. Once applied, it gives a damp or slightly wet look, enhancing the original coloring of the surface.

Coverage: Average 5 - 10 m² per litre for the first coat; 10 - 20 m² per litre for the second coat, depending on surface porosity

Touch dry: 2 - 3 hours

Compatibility and accessories

Suitable for: Sandstone (with exceptions), Limestone, Terracotta, Slate, Marble, and Granite

Not suitable for Kandla Grey (mid and light grey) sandstone

Installation

Ensure surfaces are clean, dry, and free from contamination before application

If algae or stains are present, pre-treat with an appropriate cleaning product

Use Smartseal Residue Remover if a sweep-in pointing compound has been used within the last 6 months

Recommended application tools: pressure sprayer or roller

Avoid pooling; apply to full saturation

For vertical surfaces, start application from the bottom and work upwards

Remove excess after approximately 30 - 40 minutes

For best results, apply a second coat while the first coat is still 'touch dry' (around 45 minutes)

Do not apply in damp conditions

Clean all equipment with water immediately after use

Usage

Can be used both externally and internally

Shelf life: 12 months in original sealed container

Store away from direct sunlight and sources of heat; protect from frost
