General description

Osmo Country Colour in Nordic Red is a high-quality wood finish designed for exterior wood surfaces. It offers exceptional weather and UV resistance, along with excellent water and dirt repellency. This product reduces wood swelling and shrinkage while providing a microporous, breathable finish that does not crack, peel, or flake. It is ready to use and requires no thinning or sanding for future applications.

Installation

Ensure the wood surface is clean, dry, and frost-free before application.

Stir the product well before use.

If possible, apply the first coat to all sides of the wood before installation.

For best results, use an Osmo Flat Brush or Osmo Microfibre Roller to apply the finish thinly and evenly along the wood grain.

Allow the first coat to dry for approximately 10-12 hours under good ventilation before applying a second coat.

Usage

For renovation works, one coat on a clean and dry surface is usually sufficient.

If additional protection against blue stain, rot, and insects is desired, pre-treat the wood with Osmo WR Base Coat.

For surfaces requiring extra protection, apply one top coat of Osmo UV-Protection-Oil Clear after the finish has thoroughly dried.

Regular cleaning can be done with Osmo Decking Cleaner and an Osmo Decking Cleaning Brush.

For maintenance, use Osmo Wood Reviver Power Gel or Osmo Gard Clean as needed.

Recoating is simple; just apply one coat onto the clean and dry surface when signs of wear become visible.

Other information

Osmo Country Colour is available in various colors, starting from 2.5 liters per color tone, including 186 RAL Classic and 1950 NCS color tones.

Many wood species may naturally leach out water-soluble colored extractives when weathered.

Avoid using power washers, as they can severely decrease the coverage of the finish.

osmo country colour is simply the best finish for any external outbuilding, shed, workshop, summer house, pergola etc. yes its expensive but you should find it for around £72-£75 for 2.5l but it spreads superbly and is worth its weight in the time spent from recoating if you used other brands
