Description

General description

Osmo Wood Wax Finish Satin in Grey Beige is designed for all-round protection of interior wood surfaces. This product allows the wood grain to remain visible with transparent tones, while intensive tones can hide the grain. It is highly durable, water and dirt resistant, and can withstand common liquid spillages such as water, juice, tea, cola, and wine. Additionally, it is saliva-resistant and sweatproof, making it suitable for children's toys. The microporous, breathable finish does not crack, peel, or flake, and no sanding is necessary for spot repairs or future applications.

Installation

Ensure the wood surface is clean, dry, and frost-free.

Remove old microporous stains thoroughly and completely strip old paints and lacquers.

Fill small cracks and larger joints or holes with Osmo Wood Filler.

Sand the wood surface carefully, starting with coarse sandpaper (P120-150 for flooring, P220-240 for furniture).

Remove sanding dust before applying the finish.

If possible, apply the first coat to all sides before installation.

Usage

For transparent color (one coat): Use Osmo Flat Brush, Oil Finish Applicator Fleece, or Microfibre Roller to apply very thinly along the wood grain.

For a subtle stained effect, apply thinly with a lint-free cloth and wipe away within 20 minutes.

For intensive color (two coats): Apply thinly with Osmo Flat Brush or Microfibre Roller, allowing the second coat to dry before applying.

For flooring, it is recommended to use a thin top coat of clear Osmo Polyx®-Oil Original.

For white flooring, use a top coat with lightly white pigmented Osmo Polyx®-Oil Tints 3040 White.

Regular cleaning can be done with the green Dust-Mop from the Osmo Mop Cleaning Kit for Floors, and damp mopping with Osmo Wash and Care or Osmo Spray-Mop.

For maintenance, use Osmo Liquid Wax Cleaner or Osmo Maintenance Oil.

Recoating can be done by applying one coat onto the clean and dry surface when signs of wear appear.

Other information

Ventilate well while drying.

Trial application is recommended to determine the final finish based on wood condition.

Caution: Apply max. one coat thinly to cabinet interiors and drawers.

Using general or multi-purpose cleaners may increase maintenance frequency.
