General description

Osmo Wood Wax Finish Satin in Silk Grey is designed for all-round protection of interior wood surfaces. It allows the wood grain to remain visible with transparent tones, while intensive tones can hide the grain. This finish is highly durable, water and dirt resistant, and can withstand common liquid spills such as water, juice, tea, cola, and wine. It is also saliva-resistant and sweatproof, making it suitable for children's toys. The microporous, breathable finish does not crack, peel, or flake, and no sanding is necessary for spot repairs or future applications.

Installation

Ensure the wood surface is clean, dry, and frost-free.

Fill small cracks and larger joints with Osmo Wood Filler.

Sand the wood surface carefully, starting with coarse sandpaper (P120-150 for flooring, P220-240 for furniture).

Remove sanding dust before applying the finish.

Apply the first coat to all sides of the wood if possible before installation.

Usage

For transparent color: Apply with an Osmo Flat Brush, Oil Finish Applicator Fleece, or Microfibre Roller, spreading very thinly along the wood grain.

For a subtle stained effect: Apply thinly with a lint-free cloth and wipe away within 20 minutes.

For intensive color: Apply two thin coats with an Osmo Flat Brush or Microfibre Roller.

For flooring, it is recommended to use a thin top coat of clear Osmo Polyx®-Oil Original.

For white flooring, use a lightly white pigmented Osmo Polyx®-Oil Tints 3040 White as a top coat.

Regular cleaning can be done with the green Dust-Mop from the Osmo Mop Cleaning Kit, and damp mopping with Osmo Wash and Care or Osmo Spray-Mop.

For maintenance, use Osmo Liquid Wax Cleaner or Osmo Maintenance Oil.

Recoating is simple; just apply one coat onto the clean and dry surface when wear becomes visible.
