Description

General description

Blocking Primer is a protective primer designed for surfaces sensitive to acids, effectively preventing wood’s tannins from bleeding into the finish and protecting sensitive plastics from softening. Ideal for use on wood high in tannin content such as Oak, Chestnut, and Cedar, it can be applied to both interior and exterior surfaces.

Technical specifications

Volume: 2.5 Litre

Application temperature: Between 5°C and 25°C

Installation

Ensure surfaces are in good condition, clean, dry, and free of grease, oil, and other contaminants.

Meticulously clean the surface using a suitable cleaning agent based on the substrate.

Allow the surface to dry completely.

Sand bare wood surfaces with 80-100 grit paper and thoroughly dust off.

For plastics (except Polyethylene and Polypropylene), prime with Absolute Primer before applying Blocking Primer.

Usage

Use the primer as is; do not thin.

Stir or shake well before use.

Apply a coat of Blocking Primer.

Finish with a product from the Owatrol spirit range.

Clean up with soap and water.
