Description

General description

Owatrol Oil is a versatile, highly penetrating air-drying oil that serves multiple purposes. It can be used alone as a rust inhibitor or added to oil and alkyd-based paints to enhance their performance. When used alone, it provides a tough, flexible finish that drives out excess moisture and air, effectively stopping rust on metal surfaces. On porous wood, it saturates and protects against moisture damage, preventing paint from peeling.

Usage

As a rust inhibitor: Apply directly to rusted metal surfaces.

On porous wood: Saturate the surface to protect against moisture.

As a paint conditioner: Add to oil or alkyd-based coatings to improve flow, adhesion, and wet edge time.

Application tools: Brush, roller, airless or HVLP sprayer, garden sprayer, pump sprayer.

Restrictions: Do not mix with paints containing hot solvents (e.g., Xylene) or use in water-based paints.

Other information

Clean tools and equipment with white spirits while still wet; if dried, remove with paint stripper.

Cover areas not intended for painting.

Test for compatibility when adding to paint.
