General description

Ronseal Super Flexible Wood Primer & Undercoat is a versatile primer designed for both exterior and interior wood surfaces. It utilizes a highly flexible resin that moves with the wood, ensuring excellent adhesion and preventing cracking and peeling of the topcoat. This product features an advanced stain-locking mechanism that prevents discolouration from extractives and tannins found in resinous woods, making it ideal for priming hardwoods such as mahogany, oak, and teak.

Installation

Ensure the wood surface is clean, dry, and free of dirt, dust, and grease

Sand the wood lightly with 120 grit sandpaper, following the grain

Clean the surface with a cloth and white spirit to remove dust and grease

Fill any imperfections with suitable wood filler

Stir the primer thoroughly before use

Apply with a synthetic brush in the direction of the woodgrain

Allow the first coat to dry for 2 hours

Apply a second coat after 4 hours and let dry

Lightly sand with 240 grit sandpaper after the second coat is dry for a smooth finish

Usage

Use on exterior wooden doors, window frames, cladding, fascias, and interior wood surfaces

Apply two coats for optimal coverage and durability

Brush application is recommended for best results

Allow sufficient drying time between coats

Clean brushes with warm soapy water after use
